Who it's for
A passport photo identifies you. A headshot introduces you. It should show your personality and tell people what you do.

How to choose your best shot
When you select the image for your profile, do not pick it on your own. Share all of your images with friends, family or co-workers and let them choose. The people who know you are often better at spotting the photo that looks most like the real you.

Where can I get a professional headshot in NYC?

How much does a professional headshot cost?
Headshot packages at ThisPix are $89, $169 and $299. The $89 Essential package includes a 20 to 25 minute session, about 15 images and 1 edited image.
How long does a headshot session take?
20 to 25 minutes for Essential, 40 to 45 minutes for Signature, and 75 to 90 minutes for Portfolio.
How many photos do I get?
About 15 images with Essential, about 30 with Signature and about 60 with Portfolio. All of them are yours to keep. The edited images are 1, 3 and 6, and additional edited images are $25 each.
Can I see my headshots before they are edited?
Yes. You see every frame on screen during your session, then choose the images you want edited. Nothing is edited until you approve it.
Which headshot package should I choose?
Choose Essential if you need one photo for LinkedIn or a resume. Choose Signature if you want several images for different uses. Choose Portfolio if you are an actor or model, or need full-body images for personal branding.
Do I need an appointment?
We recommend one, but it is not required. The studio is open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Call 212-753-4671 to book.
What should I wear for a professional headshot?
Wear what you would wear to meet an important client. Solid colors photograph better than busy patterns or large logos, and clothes that fit well matter more than clothes that are new.
What is a headshot used for?
A headshot is a profile photo used to introduce yourself professionally: on LinkedIn, on a resume, on your company website, in press and speaker bios, and on social media.
Do you photograph teams and companies?
Yes. We photograph groups in the studio and bring our lighting to your office for on-site sessions. Call us for group and corporate bookings.

How to book
- Passport and visa photos. Walk in, or book ahead so we are ready for you.
- Headshot and family sessions. Book and pay online, or call us. Booking ahead is recommended.
- Weddings, fashion and commercial shoots. Inquire first. We confirm your date and send a quote, then you reserve with a deposit.
- Albums. Order online, and we contact you to collect your photos.
Deposits
$300
Weddings and fashion and commercial shoots are reserved with a $300 deposit, which is applied to your total. The deposit is fully refundable within 7 days of payment and non-refundable after that.

Your sessionSee you in the studio
- Cancel up to 48 hours before for a full refund. After that, the session is non-refundable.
- Reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your session.
- Rain. If it rains on the day of an outdoor family session, we reschedule at no charge.
Passport photo guarantee
If your passport or visa photo is rejected, bring us the rejection notice and we will retake your photo free of charge.
Albums
Albums are made to order. Once we have received your photos and started your design, an album cannot be cancelled or refunded.
